I also wish SONY came up with a larger-screen device. For the moment, I make do with the PRS900. Reading PDFs works, but in landscape mode - displaying a third of the page. It's fine for text, but not if you deal with a lot of graphs, figures and the like.

I plan on upgrading to the 950 as soon as it becomes available.

Compared to the 600/650, the extra screen size is a big plus, not just for PDFs. I like large fonts when reading ebooks - and that means less page turns with the 900. Also, if you plan on reading newspapers/magazines, the extra screen size is a must.

3g and wifi... well, it depends on the use you make of the device. Again, if you like getting your morning newspaper, it's very convenient. If you travel a lot, it's nice being able to get them on the fly - and to purchase a book when you are lonely in a hotel room... but really, that all depends on your habits.

The downside of the bigger device, in terms of portability, seems negligible.
