Assuming fjtorres is referring to the Calibre Catalog feature, you can also create the Catalog as an EPUB which produces a page per book showing (among other details) cover thumbnail and book description, assuming you've filled in the book's Comments in the Calibre metadata.

You can access these details by Author, by Title, by Genre or by Date Added.

If you do decide to try it out, make sure you view the EPUB with the AdobeViewer app as it is heavily formatted with CSS and fbreader will not do it justice.
