I don't see what all the fuss is about. Microsoft sends information about your PC back to them yet no-one lifts an eyelid when it comes to installing pirated software. Amazon are there to provide a service to you by selling ebooks, not policing the reading archive of all Kindle owners in attempt to find copyright infringement.
At the end of the day if you are that worried and want to keep wireless on, change the title of the ebook. It's not like Amazon are taking complete copies of ebooks people have put on their Kindles themselves.
