I'm spending this hot, humid day on Cape Cod getting the house ready for Hurricane Earl. I've got my supplies ready, and now I've got to stow away all the patio and deck furniture, windowboxes, hanging or potted plants, and anything else around the yard that could become a potential missile. It's practically a given that we'll lose electrical power for a few days, but so it goes.
