Adobe Content Server 4 (used to provide PDF and ePub DRM) costs $0.22 per book sold. That's about 1.7% of a $12.99 ebook. Or over 3.6% of a $6 ebook. or over 11% of a $1.99 ebook.

DRM. You know it makes no sense.
