Well Jetbooks have traditionally used a reflective LCD screen, the Mini looks no different. There are advantages to both types of technology. The LCD that Jetbook uses is very readable and page turns are incredibly fast. The only real downsides are that it looks less like real paper and its batteries are depleted more quickly than the best eInk readers like the Sony PRS-300 and the Kobo.
