I tried this, and it seems to work "mostly" as advertised (under Linux with Bluetooth through my laptop [heh, I did write the HOWTO on it])... except:

  1. No hires support (hires fonts and icons)
  2. No DIA support
  3. Closing the app dumps your network connection.. which isn't really a good thing to do, especially when you want to keep the connection alive, switch to another app, and then go back to IM to continue chatting.
  4. No Jabber support
It also has a few small bugs (tries to autoconnect at startup, even when told not to, and you can't change that, because the pref to change it is only available in a menu accessible after successfully connecting), but it looks like a great start for them. Hopefully their future versions will be more production-quality.
