I just use a Ziploc freezer bag when I'm at the beach, pool or in the bathtub with my Kindle. For peace of mind I did purchase the extended warranties for all my Kindles and I've used them on my K2 (sun fade problem) and my first DX (battery died). Actually my K2 was still under the original warranty. I don't usually buy extended warranties but I have for the Kindles.
