When I send documents to my @kindle.com I get delivery via wifi directly to the kindle. Very user friendly :-)

Fom the help-text on amazon.com:

"Any personal document exceeding this charge will be sent to your @free.kindle.com address and a notification will be sent to your Kindle. We will also attempt to send the document to your Kindle for free via Wi-Fi. "
