And just a reminder that this is an example of the transformation of the book publishing industry -- in this case, the pulp fiction romance category (even though this is a suspense/romance title): this is from Carina Press, a division of Harlequin, and the ONLY publish ebooks -- nothing in paper at all. Plus, I believe, the titles are DRM free and available in both .azw and .epub editions.

Edit: OK, apparently not DRM free although that is part of Carina's schtick.

Edit 2: Carina Press FAQ states DRM free:

"The Carina Press contract does not include an advance or DRM, and authors are compensated with a higher royalty."
