Very nicely put. There is a lot of reverse snobbery attached to watching TV.

Personally I do watch TV and have satellite. Sure, there's a lot of rubbish on there but there's also a fair amount I enjoy (sport, some films, things like House, Dr Who, Top Gear and Sherlock and the news).
