I was positively surprised when UPS pre-empted my call this morning and we clarified a delivery where I work. Unfortunately, it didn't work out.
UPS customer care said that the delivery location was skipped du to an incomplete address, but added that it was corrected right after so it is ok now. (And sure enough, the address was exactly the same as I said this morning). I'll travel to their location this evening and pick it up instead, they offered to make a third attempt tomorrow but I declined ... figuring that when someone fails twice, the third time is seldom the charm :-)
