I have it on my "To be read soon" list. Even though I consider myself a nonbeliever, I think it will be a nice experience.

Frankly, the main reason I purchased my Kindle 3 WiFi LG is because of the Bible. Amazon sells several Bibles with Direct Verse Jump (DVJ). That is especially valuable in Church services and Bible Studies. Pastors jump around a lot and turning pages of a pBible is just too cumbersome.
The first books I purchased after the K3 were the KJV and NET both having DVJ. The NET has 61,000 footnotes which the K3 neatly indexed for rapid location. I purchased a Bible dictionary as well which the K3 can make into the default dictionary just for Church.
Other books I read are over 800 print pages each and take a lot of time to finish. The first main book I am reading now on the K3 is: "Deliver Us from Evil: The Slavery Question in the Old South" by Lacy K. Ford. The other book I am reading now on my Sony PRS 900 is: "The First Tycoon: the Epic Life of Cornelius Vanderbilt" by T. J. Stiles. I read two at one time and do most of my reading on my PC using eReaders only away from my house.
Carrying already read books makes no sense to me. They just clutter up things. However, with the Kindle 3 keeping highlights and notes and able to search all books may change my doctrine. They may make old, read books, still have value as references. I find the Sony PRS 900 slowed immensely in proportion to the number of notes and highlights. The K3 is not slowed apparently no matter how many notes and highlights one maintains.
So far as the battery life goes, keeping the K3 in Shut Down Mode, not Sleep Mode, when not in use should conserve battery life way past its stipulated period. The battery on my PRS 900 is rated for one month but lasts way past 2 months using that doctrine.
