Actually,
Battery University is a Cadex-sponsored website. The article on
Charging lithium-ion batteries is by Isidor Buchmann, founder and CEO of Cadex. He has this to say about priming the battery:

If Li-polymer batts required priming, I assume he would have said so. What do you think?
