Greetings to everyone and thanks for providing a place like this.

First, allow me to express my sincerest appreciation to Patricia & crutledge & mtravellerh & RWood & HarryT and all of the other people who have uploaded books on this site. The past several months have been spent mainly mining the wonderful treasure trove of public domain books found on here.

Having slowed down enough recently from my 'mining operations' to read some of the posts on MR, it has been my pleasure to find people who are not only friendly but as interested in this 'new world' of e-readers and e-books as myself.

Reading has always been a principal hobby of mine (mainly SF & historical fiction for leisure reading but also poetry & history & biographies & biology & so on). Being retired allows me to pursue my hobbies of reading and traveling, and lately, searching for public domain e-books to load on my kindle2.

The IT knowledge that the members have is impressive particularly for someone like me who still has not yet figured out how to place a signature beside his name.
