You're not alone. YouTube has allowed me to find and buy songs that I would not have without it. YouTube has directly led to me buying more than 80 songs by their use in YouTube videos, either via specific songs or by being introduced to an artist (such as Issip and Yurima).

Two examples:

- Someone used the song "On The Rebound" by Floyd Cramer in a video. It was a song that I'd heard before but didn't know the name of the song or the artist. Without YouTube I would have never bought the song.

- While searching for songs by the Carpenters (my favorite group), I came across the song "Trying To Get The Feeling Again" (TTGTFA) by Gene Pitney. TTGTFA is one of my favorite Carpenters songs and it has led me to seeking out alternate versions (the song has different versions of the lyrics, with the Carpenters' version having the original lyrics and Barry Manilow's version having revised lyrics). When I found the Pitney version, I was struck by the power of his vocals. As with "On The Rebound," I wasn't aware that Gene Pitney had recorded the song and without YouTube it is unlikely that I would have found out about it.
