Living in Australia I'd just like to point out that the word "Japs" *is* considered a racial slur here. Get your facts right. Moreover, the use of the word "Jap" objectifies the individual in question, and for that alone is considered offensive. But realistically, it does not matter if you understand *why* it is offensive (because evidently you don't), you simply must understand that many people *do* find it offensive when you speak that way.
But back on topic, if the PRS-650 has the touch screen with no degradation of screen quality it'd probably be a pretty darn good note-taker as well as an ebook reader. Might it be time to upgrade from my venerable PRS-505?
