hi there

i am a cantankerous old curmudgen from alabama in the states, living in the UK. am a retired systems support specialist having worked as a 24/7 support engr. in a hosting site for a few hundred commercial and govt. servers.

just bought a booken opus & upgraded it to the 2.1 opsys. added 2gb microsd card.

have downloaded about 400 epub books to it & am adding about 80 more as i type this, mostly scifi & fantasy, some historical fiction.

i have adopted two greyhounds (blue, the male and millie, female) who are now 10 years old, they are my IT department and supervise my computer usage and offer assistance much like a real IT department. they are currently on the spare bed in the computer room asleep. much like any other 24/7 IT staff...
