I'm a fairly rapid reader and I doubt the speed-reading claims but more importantly, I enjoy reading. Sometimes, a sentence is a jewel and I'll read it twice. I enjoy the process. Perhaps there should be a term like premature erudition for those who put speed above enjoyment.
