God only knows - but I would think very little of anything since they'd (probably) have to rely on the metadata in each of the files being 'correct' (and you couldn't identify an ebook file by something like it's checksum/hash since most people who are sideloading ebooks onto their Kindle are probably tweaking the metatdata, cover images, formatiing - so I would think the checksum would then change because of that).
Who's to say that I don't, for example, have 100 copies of the same
Bobbsey Twins book on my kindle, but have changed the metadata, etc, in Calibre to make it look like they're all different books from various authors (you know, I in order to hide my Bobbsey Twins book addiction - please don't judge me....)
