I'm still in "Shipping Soon" state today too. I was worried so I looked into it in Amazon's help and found this:

Seems the messages mean nothing. The fact they charged my bank account however, means it's on the way because they never charge until an item ships. We just have to be patient and wait for whatever carrier is bringing it.
