Between 11pm and midnight, my lighted cover changed from "Shipping Soon" to "Shipped". I checked the tracking info and see that it's coming to me from Lexington, KY. Kindle itself (3G black, ordered on 1 Aug) still says "We'll notify you via e-mail ..." Oh well. The battery & charger for my K1 arrived today and through process of elimination I was able to determine that it was the charger that had failed, so the K1 (with the old battery) is fully recharged and there's a spare battery for that time in the future when it might be needed. My daughter-in-law can hardly wait for my K3 to arrive since she will be inheriting the K1.
