Is there blame to be passed? Is the author greedy? His distributors? The people who converted from print to eBook? The book distributors? The book stores?

There's a lot of pieces to this pie. I remember when "The Pentagon Papers" was released in paperback. At US$2.25, it was the most expensive paperback released to date.
