It depends on 2 things:
1) Amazons contract with Fedex.
2) Fedex and you.
I know for a fact that Amazon's contract with UPS only requires a signature if the item is over $700 and even then it's at the driver's discretion.
As for #2, it depends if you've been marked as a 'don't trust this address and require everything have signature confirmation' by Fedex. Or if you have a 'no signature required' release form with Fedex.
I'll bet ya $1 confirmation won't be required
