I have had two freeze-ups with the new firmware already and had to reset the reader, not crazy about that as the older firmware gave me no frozen screens.
If you are having problems that appear after a firmware update, it is a good
idea to re-download the update file and redo the firmware update. It is not
that hard and you get another chance to be sure that you have followed all
the instructions, including all the resets.
