I think it's reasonable to believe the products are set at this point for 2010. WYSIWYG for the time being. Amazon did buy a touch screen technology company less than a year ago; it might be incorporated into the 2011 colour edition. Jeff Bezos specifically said colour was not coming in 2010 at an analyst call a couple of months ago.
In the meantime, price changes are possible -- including for the DX model. But then, at the moment, there is no specific competition for a device like it so there isn't direct incentive at this time for Amazon to sell for less. But if I were a betting man ... $299 sounds like a nice price for the device beginning in November.
