If you ever wanted to replace your 3 default nook fonts or you wanted to read czech, slovak, russian, polish, and other books(without font embedding), keep reading.
Everyone kept saying that font embedding is the only easy way how to change font in your nook(while reading epub file for example). Font embedding was mostly used to allow nook owners from Europe to read books in their native languages.
I found out that there is much easier way.
There is russian custom nook firmware(from same team who created mynook.ru Launcher).
Default keyboard/UI language is english - no worries, russian language can be turned on in setting(extra application for that).
This firmware exports 3 nook default fonts from the device to its internal memory. You can replace this fonts with any unicode font you like. This also allows nonUS nook owners to use fonts with full unicode charset.
new folder in nook looks like this:

(new default fonts in this firmware can handle most central/eastern europe characters - czech, slovak, russian included)
This firmware has also all softroot features. It has mynook.ru launcher preinstalled. All essential applications from nookdevs are also preinstalled(NookLibrary,Nook WiFi Locker, Nook File Manager, Nook File Manager etc.).
Installing new applications is done via ADB or nookmarket(just like on softrooted nook).
There is also no reported battery drain issue etc. Im using this firmware for few days now and havent found single problem.
How to install this firmware:

Its just like doing softroot. Install 1.0.0 firmware, then update to mynook.ru FW.
In case of any questions, please use this topic. If you tried this FW and you like it, let other people know via this topic.

Note:
As of right now, Nooks with serial #s starting with 10031 (running firmware 1.4.1) cannot be rooted(neither softroot, nor mynook.ru firmware described above), and should NOT be attempted!
