I am just worried that we won't be able to buy anything on Amazon.co.uk if we buy the Kindle in the USA.
Is there any reason (other than a power cord) to buy a Kindle and have it shipped to Denmark (from Amazon's website), or should I save myself the VAT tax and get it shipped to a family member in the USA?

- There's no reason to buy a Kindle in the USA: just buy it on Amazon.com with a credit card. I live in Italy. I bought my Kindle DXG on 6th July in the afternoon. On 8th July in the morning an UPS courier was at my door with my Kindle DXG. And I payed 395 € (
overall).
- There's no reason to buy ebooks from Amazon UK if you're not British. Just turn your Kindle on, turn wireless on, and go on Kindle Store.
- There's no reason at all to buy an ereader that does not have the new generation pearl eink screen. The improvement over the older generation is really remarkable.
