IMHO they left side keys are already backwards

, so you idea would
Fix the design error.
Hold the device in your left hand:
Now, where is your thumb? Near the page "Backwards" key

.
Why make the user reach over the back key, with the added chance (happens frequently to me) of bumping the wrong direction?
