My cover now has the 'can't be changed' status, but not the Kindle itself. My credit card has one of those 'Authorisation only' charges (i.e. it doesn't say who is charging it yet) for around the cost of a Kindle cover + shipping and I can't think of anything else I've used my credit card for recently.
I'd be a bit annoyed if I got the cover before the device, but it's not exactly the end of the world if that happens.
Do Kindles all get shipped from the US or will I (in Australia) get one shipped from Asia? I can't remember with my K2 but I remember it only took a couple of days from when I ordered it.
