I have a related issue --

to get from the street to my apt, I need to tap my keycard at the front door, at the elevators to summon one, and again on the elevator itself (our cards only access our actual floor). Every so often, I find myself reflexively reaching for the keycard to enter my apt ... which has a real (manual key) lock, not an electronic one!
