More like Tybee than Hilton Head, but more undeveloped even because it's a state park. VERY accessible economically. Bike paths all over the island, although there's not much traffic. Deer everywhere, and racoons. Just a few hotels, no high end condos. Lots of rental houses. My (extended) family rents a house for a week every summer, and we have for many years. (We've stayed in just about every rental house on the island by now!) This year we had 14 people, ranging in age from 6 months to 89 years.
You should check it out next time you get down the coast a little ways! :-)
