Hi all!
My name is John, and have always had that reading habit....magazines, books, even hardbacks when the money was good, or the libraries had them available. I was one of those who ran out of youth books in the small town I lived in, in Central Alberta, Canada. I have another habit....technology....I build computers, run three of them, built two others that others have, and ENJOY using my acer aspire netbook with ubuntu remix lucid (ask someone why

) Now comes the great melding of both worlds....E readers! I am but a neophyte, with kindle for PC on my netbooks (yes, even Linux), and my desktop, and kobo on my blackberry. I would have kindle on my phone, but not available in Canada. Now the hard part....just which dedicated device should I buy. Kindle 3, Kobo, Sony, JBL, JB, Libre, so many choices, so little money
I have learned so much in the short while I have been lurking on the site. Thanks all, and I will ask more questions when I get closer to pulling the trigger on an actual purchase.
