The Bad News:
Yesterday morning my Kindle 2 fell off the desk and the screen froze. As in sub-zero reboot doesn't help solid ice-age class mired-in-the-mud up to the windshield ain't going nowhere deep freeze. As I write this, the last page I read is still displayed on the screen. 
The Good News:
I called Amazon this morning at 1 AM and they said that was considered covered under normal usage. My replacement K2 should arrive tomorrow. 
Gotta' love that Amazon Customer Service!
