I have a copy of a book dated June, 1979.
Inside the front cover is a page that among other things state:
The ink used to print this material has been chemically treated. It contains pigment which is affected by copy-machine light.
It then goes on to say that you'll be prosecuted, sliced, and diced.
Personal I never cared to bother making a copy of a page. But I'm willing to bet that the copy machine lights used today are different than those used back in '79.
