My house is cluttered with remotes, and 2 of them are universal (I couldn’t program them properly)
A solution to my problem of remote chaos has emerged, when I found that Novii Media had released
NoviiRemote Blaster – an SD card universal remote for palmOne handhelds
At a price of $59.99, I get a high-resolution touchscreen universal remote.
To demonstrate my opinion, let’s compare
NoviiRemote Blaster to MX3000:
1. I started using NoviiRemote Blaster 5 minutes after I opened the package. I tried the MX3000 just 2 days later. The new operating principle in the Blaster makes the set-up very easy. After installing the NoviiRemote Blaster software on my handheld from the CD-ROM, I just inserted the Blaster card in the SD slot. Next, I chose IR codes from the given list - one codebase per each home device. The MX3000 often acquires the assistance of a professional custom installer to get up and running.
2.NoviiRemote Blaster is small in size and very convenient to have close at hand. The MX3000 by contrast is 10 times bigger. NoviiRemote Blaster allows me to control almost any entertainment system outside the home, for example at local while traveling and in hotels. MX3000 is not at all convenient to take it with me…
3.Both remotes have great IR range. I сan use the PDA with Blaster from any location in the given room, while holding it at a natural viewing angle, and without having to point at the AV system.
4.Both devices contain an enormous number of codebases. A special chip located inside the Blaster has the codes for over 100,000 home entertainment devices, including most devices on the market. I found every device I needed at once.
5.NoviiRemote Blaster is much cheaper. If the Blaster gets lost or destroyed, I will be out only the $60. MX3000 costs about $1000
6.MX3000 is an ordinary universal remote control. NoviiRemote Blaster is a completely new idea for the remote control market.
NoviiRemote Blaster is compatible with Zire 71, Tungsten T2, Tungsten T, and, the most popular, Tungsten E and Zire 72.
If NoviiRemote Blaster wasn't so appealing, I would buy the MX3000. But why shouldn’t I make extra use of my Tunsten E?
