My biggest tip for new PRS-600 owners is, if you bought it brand new, to test it out in the sunlight. If the screen fades, call Sony customer support and ask for a replacement via their Advanced Exchange Program. You will have a new unit in your hands within a few days and hopefully it will not have the fading issue!
