It depends on what I'm reading and why I'm reading it but I often look up words, phrases, names, places and events, and even word usages that have changed since the work was written or have different meanings in different cultures. I do this all the time with Gandhi's writings, for example. The annoying part is that it is pretty inconvenient with my Sony - no dictionary, internet access, or even highlighting or note taking ability. Instead, I write things down and look them up later.
