Really?? In my case, my DR800SG doesn't go over a week although I don't use it much time daily. Then, as mentioned by people in another thread, it seems totally different case by case. I assume it may depend on how much time you use the device and what you do with the device. For example, I saw that some PDFs need far more cpu usage for loading than others and perhaps it'd shorten the battery life as well with or without scribbling.
And I don't have interest on Kindle and even haven't seen a real one, but just saw it and its specifications on 'MobileRead Wiki - E-book Reader Matrix'.
