Hopefully, the reason Sony is pushing so hard to get rid of the old stock of readers is that the new generation of their devices is so much better that once it is officially announced nobody in their right mind would ever wish to buy any of the last year's ones.

Unfortunately, the experience tells us that with Sony it's not always the case. To many Sony Reader fans the three-year old PRS-505 is still more desirable than any of the models that came after it.
