For the record, I've worked in IT for 15 years and am used to gadget deflation. My question about the Kobo price-drop was part of my research, not a precursor to sour grapes.

Given early comments about the Kogan Reader on Whirlpool (good build quality potentially undone by patchy firmware), my Kobo decision might be made for me. No imminent price drop seems likely after yesterday's Kobo blog post talked up the massive demand.

(Sorry for bad English, me have cold, sentence construction very tragedy today.)
