The script I use for stripping is not part of Calibre nor is it written by Kovid (don't want to get him in trouble here). I have added it as a plug-in to Calibre. When I add a mobipocket/azw book to my Library, the DRM is automatically removed. For the conversion, I use the default Calibre settings and the results have been great. I like to customize the metadata first, but I'm persnickety about such things.
