Well, Shel's nomenclature of "Cozies" sounds right up my alley -- mysteries where you don't have to smell the gore.

But I also enjoyed "Surgeon" by Tess Garritson (sp?) and am liking JAKonrath's "Whiskey Sour" so I guess a "thriller" is okay too. As long as I don't too often have to read about the actual gore. One reviewer of W.Sour said they almost stopped reading at the gore (of the first murder) --- and I almost stopped too -- but subsequent murders aren't described in as much detail, so I was okay to keep going.

Then again -- I have a 60 page index in my Kindle (12 per page) so it's not like I'm *lacking* things to read next!
