I too, applied for membership at the Augen forum a week or so ago. Not without reservations, for I had to give reasons as to why I wanted to join, something I have never had to do on any other forum. And I am still waiting for approval.
Yes, the locked topics are a concern - I can't see why this would be so, unless it
is a manpower issue.
From "The Book" manual:
