I've had 3 different e-ink devices all with different stability.

1 was the Sony 600 which crashed/froze so many times and caused me so many headaches that I sold it on after about 2 months. I reckon I did more fixing than reading!

2 Was my PocketBook 360 which has been fairly stable but does freeze now and then plus has a weird glitch where the language just changes to German! But overall I like it although I will be selling it once my new Kindle arrives.

3 is the Kindle 2 which after 10 months has only frozen on me once a few days back. It has been exceptionally reliable whatever vie thrown at it and I would say it's had pretty heavy usage.
