I'm not a literary fiction fan, but I loved Alison Wonderland. It's a delightfully quirky, character-driven odyssey.

The literary fiction I've read (or at least attempted to read) in the past has always been hard work. In Alison Wonderland, it's Smith's words that do all the work. I urge others, who like me are wary of anything labelled "literary fiction," to take a chance on this book. I promise you won't be disappointed.
