I read all the replies in this thread. Granted I am new to this forum..but I am a bit amazed that this list is so English Oriented. Fact is there are hundreds of amazing books that have been written in languages outside of English. I only book on the list not originally in English is the Bible. I can think of 20 books that could make this list without even thinking. And coming from the BBC i find it even weaker. I usually like most BBC content but not this list
