I'm really glad they worked it out for you Bob. But I've heard this a couple of times now where somebody has gotten their account closed accidentally. One time the account was compromised and Amazon closed it ... and they had to do this refund/set-up new account/rebuy Kindle books thing.

It kind of leads me to thinking, I just went and looked and I'm up to around 22 pages of purchases of Kindle books. Say that were to happen 3 to 4 years from now it could easily be 100+ pages of books. Rebuying certainly not be a very viable option then, it would be hours of work for the customer.

They really need to fix that and quite frankly it is one pretty solid reason to have all your eBook purchases liberated and backed up on your own computer.
