I had heard something about this a few months back. The idea makes so much sense for basic ereaders, it would be a shame if it was never implemented. Unfortunately, with the market increasingly moving towards devices like the Nook and Kindle, which while wonderful, use a lot more power, it seems unlikely that this device will gain traction before people decide that just a basic ebook reader is not enough -- even if the user never needs to worry about charging the device.
