Closing and restarting returns it to normal. Also, this version is the first one that has crashed for me. It did so cleanly, nothing was lost and it restarted with no issues in either library, at least none that are obvious.
Still a very happy user.

So that's why I lost the tag browser! I thought I was going nuts because I couldn't replicate it.
